Question Nvidia GTX 1060 eGPU is detected by Device Manager but not working in games ?

I have a razer core x eGPU with an nvidia gtx 1060.
While installing the latest driver 511.23 it causes a BSOD nvddmkm.sys error PAGE FAULT IN NON PAGED AREA about halfway through the process.
Installing the previous driver makes the eGPU show up in device manager, but nvidia control panel wont open, and its not showing up in the 'graphics settings'.

I've used DDU to uninstall and reinstlal several times but same thing happens every time.

who makes the 1060? some makers have their own drivers (although they all from Nvidia), its worth trying any on their site just to see if they work, as they should. Probably older though

does card work with other PC? can you install it and see if it takes the drivers.

Same thing is happening to me. Dell XPS 15 with RTX 3050 Ti and eGPU with RTX 2070. Working fine on 497.29 but when I installed 511.23 I got BSOD whenever I plugged eGPU in. I have tried DDU from safe mode, clean driver install, downgrade to previous version. Nothing works

The 1060 makers link to nvidia.cn but an older driver. http://www.pradeon.com/a/Technical/Quality_Assurance_Ordinance/Driver_Dow/

I've downloaded it but its for windows 10 so not compatible.
