Hello,

I have this PSU Tacens Mars Gaming MPII650 and it has 1x 6+2 pin connector for GPU. I plan on buying GTX 1070 MSI Gaming X and as I understand I need another 6pin connector. So here is my question. Do I need to upgrade my PSU or I can somehow add another 1x6pin to my PSU?

I for one say get a better PSU a good one rated at 550W would see you through with ease and you would have have some headroom. This kind of depends on the rest of the system specs too. What are your other parts?

If that PSU is of decent build and quality and can really deliver 456W on the 12 volt rail as advertised here:

http://www.marsgaming.eu/en/products/mpii650.html

According to this website it has 80+ standard. Not sure about that unless you can find a review on reliable websites. I only found an unboxing in Spanish which in fact confirms it only has one 6+2 PCIE power cable/connector.

I'm saying this out of experience a PSU which is rated/labeled/advertised to deliver 650W and does not have at least two 6+2-pin PCIE power...

One a relatively different note, will you be willing to buy another brand/model GTX 1070. I know the ROG STRIX-GTX1070-O8G-GAMING only needs an 8-pin which you have. Not sure about price difference with the MSI 1070 Gaming X, maybe a 40-50 dollars difference.
