[SOLVED] Nvidia GTX 1070 Intel i5 build. Compatible MB's?

Hi guys! I'm building a gaming PC for a pal and he wants the i5 LGA 1151 CPU and GTX 1070 GPU. I read it required 2 slots. I never used a GPU this nice lol. Could you guys recommend compatible MB's around or under $150? Thanks! Is ROG an important spec? I'm not an expert builder but I just came across this spec and it seems needed for good gaming. Necessary? Thanks!

Hi is ROG and important spec in a MB for a GTX 1070? Im not an expert builder but built a lot of PC's but just came across this ROG spec while researching.

Literally any LGA 1151 mobo would work. The only thing to look for is you need a 300 series chipset (H310, B360, H370, Z370, or Z390) motherboard to support an 8xxx or 9xxx Intel CPU.

Dual slot is a measure of how thick the card is, not how many physical slots you need on the board.

I read the GTX 1070 needs two slots. SO just make sure it has 2 at least for room in teh build?

Awesome! I'm not new to building but I'm also no expert. I'd hate to order these parts and have to return them I had an issue with an MSI board recently and a Ryzen CPU where teh MB BIOS wasn't ready and needed to be flashed...

Now I need a case. Is the GPU chosen specced large or something I need to look for in a case or can I just get a dope cooler master case with pre installed front fans ya think?
