Just tested a second-hand GTX 1080 with the stock cooler, I installed it put in the 8-Pin Connector, the PC booted but neither the fan OR the green lighting turned on. There was no signal at all on the monitor while my current GTX 1060 works perfectly fine.

AsRock h310m-hdv
550 SeaSonic Focus Gold
16GB RAM 3200MHz
What could be the issue here?
I don't think it's the PSU since I tried only plugging in 6 out of the 8 PIN slots and the PC started boot looping, when I plugged in everything the PC turned on normally but still had no signal. Help would be greatly appreciated!
