Hey, so here is my situation, i just bought This card from Newegg.com on the 3rd: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127577

And it's constantly overheating, i applied custom fan profiles for it, the fan spurs up to 100% at 55 degrees celsius to avoid overheating, doesn't work that well, i even took off the heatsink, scraped off the old "thermal paste" - sad excuse for thermal paste if you ask me... went to my dads, borrowed some Arctic Silver, put that on, it dropped the temps a bit further but it still overheats, only when playing *ANY* 3D Game though, like Farcry, GTA IV, Etc, and i don't have it overclocked, i actually have it about 100 mhz underclocked, here's my speccy profile, any help is appreciated:

How's your case temperature and airflow? These coolers blow air into your case.

Also define overheating...Does the card start artifacting? Your PC shut down? What's the operating temperature during gaming?

my PC shuts down once the card reaches 62c while i'm playing Farcry 3, i have 7 fans inside of the case, it's a minimal airflow case but it is getting good airflow, CPU is at 25C, M/B is at 33c

What's your power supply? 62C is not a high temperature for GPUs. PCs can also shut down due to inadequate power during load.

sounds like a cheap power supply got you. sounds like the 12v line is cheap/garbage on that power supply. i would try another power supply a good 500/550w one.

see if a friend has a new power supply. also contact the case vendor they may be able to send you a larger power supply if you speak to a level 2 customer service rep.
