Nvidia GTX 680 or AMD Radeon Saphire 7970 for gaming

Im not sure which to get ive been falling for the nvidia but it is 70 dllrs more expensive than the AMD.
Im not sure if its worth the money opinions?

7970 is cheaper and faster, doesn't make much sense to get the 680 at the moment.

Agreed with the 7970. It's generally cheaper and a little faster or at worst similarly performing to the 680, so the 680 isn't worth getting over it. The 670 and the 680 have even closer performance and the 670 is both cheaper and uses less power than the 670, making the 680 an even less ideal card to purchase right now.
