Nvidia Gtx 750 ti low profile overheating after applying thermal paste/compound ! Need help

Gpu ( gtx 750 ti ) over heating even after applying new thermal paste, everything was fine 4-5 days ago idle temp was 35-36c and on max load 65c , suddently it went to 80c on high load, and 40 to idle idk whats wrong, gpu is working fine but heating like hell althougg ita low profile variant and it is supposed to run cooler than other variants.

This -- https://www.geforce.co.uk/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gtx-750-ti/specifications says 95C is max. I wouldn't worry about 80C. Take the side panel off the PC and verify it isn't an airflow problem in the case.

Side panel is already open, temp is consistantly stuck on 80c even sfter applying paste for 2 times. Used accurate amount of paste too, still idk whats wrong with it.

Might be the problem. All GPU's lack an IHS thus you need to make sure the entire die is covered in the thermal compound or else you will get hot spots in your GPU's cores and those cores will die. The best method that ive seen and used myself. its the good ol' X pattern on the die (Recommend non-conductive paste) and slowly and evenly tighten all the screws. As opposed to 1 at a time as this will lead to the compound smooshing to one side of the die when you actually want an even coat all over it.
