Nvidia gtx 780 vs what amd gpu?

Hi everyone, I am currently working on an amd build, and currently own a sabertooth 990fx with an fx-8320 processor over locked to 4.0ghz. The issue I'm currently facing is we-their or not it's important to find an amd gpu that apparently syncs better with the cpu, or to go with this nvidia gpu? I'm also finding it difficult to find an amd gpu that is of equal or greater power to this nvidia one within the 500$ price range. Should I stick with this gpu or do you guys have better recommendations?
Edit: ( I agree this card seems awesome, I'm using this system primarily for playing all if the new games coming out such as dark souls 2!^^ I just don't see any reason for spending that much extra for such little fps gain anyways thanks for all your answers guys)

Well the only AMD GPu idd compare to that is the r9 290, maybe the X version not sure, the thing is the GTX 780 itself is already pretty kickass, not sure that working better with full AMD is a thing, i might be wrong, but i never heard a GTX780 ran badly on an AMD processor, and its probably the best at that price range, whhat do u plan on doing with your system?

R9 290.

Considering the 780 is roughly $100+ cheaper I'd choose it. Prices of the Radeon cards are high because they are in high demand due to Litecoin mining. CudaMiner has gotten far better and once it's optimized for nVidia cards we can expect Radeon cards to come back down in line to pricing.

The card most comparable to the GTX 780 would be something like the MSI R9 290 Gaming http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HPS4AFG which is just a little faster than the 780 at resolutions up to 1440p but resolutions exceeding 1440p the R9 290 pulls much farther ahead of the 780 in performance.

If you shop around you can get the R9 290 cheaper than a 780 also.
