So I recently purchased another EVGA GTX 950 so that I could run it with my other EVGA GTX 950 in SLI (because it looks cool tbh). But after purchasing another motherboard because the one I originally had didn't support SLI and after installing everything I'm not noticing any difference in FPS. I have turned on the SLI in the Nvidia control panel window, which was the first thing I did as soon as I turned the computer on. I have also installed, then reinstalled the new drivers for my GTX 950s through the Nvidia experience thing (can't remember name of it). Before running the SLI setup in WoW I would get roughly 95 FPS while on the "recommended" setting of 7 out of 10 and now, with the SLI setup I'm stilling getting 95 FPS in the "recommended" 7 out of 10 setting. I've noticed in other games as well including Ark, No Man's Sky, and Skyrim/ESO that all my settings are staying the same and I have no increased FPS. Did I basically waste my money and time on the SLI setup or is there something else that I should be doing to squeeze every bit of FPS out of these two graphics cards? If I have made a huge mistake and the SLI is busted/no worth it which graphics card should I purchase to replace the two GTX 950s to give me better performance and FPS.

Thank you!

Let's see if I can do this from memory:
Intel i5-6500
Cooler Master 212 Evo
MSI Krait Gaming 3x
G.Skill Ripjaws V Series DDR4-2400 (2x4GB)
EVGA GTX 950 x2 (in SLI)
PNY 120GB SSD
WD Caviar Blue 1TB 7200 RPM HD
Corsair CX600
NZXT S340 (case)

I believe that's it.

I have ran benchmarks using 3DMark that I bought from Steam, but it always freezes on me after benchmark has ran and I can never get a score. Tried getting a refund form Steam, but they said no.

On another note: WOO PIG SOOIE! :)

I've never used Afterburner before, but I will get it downloaded after work and make sure they are working. The two fans on both cards do spin whenever my computer comes on, but with everything running so quite, even while gaming, it's hard to tell. I had WoW, Runescape, Ark, CS:GO, and Netflix all running at the same time on one monitor and had decent 25-30 fps on all games and Netflix wasn't skipping. My computer never got loud.

That was just a random test I wanted to check before I had any testing software, this was also before the second GTX 950 was installed.

Okay so it's obviously working properly. So either the cpu was the bottleneck or those games dont work well with sli. I would try maxxing settings as that shouldn't affect the cpus part of the fps. If you max settings and fps remains the same you have your answer. 95 fps is possibly the max for the cpu
