Nvidia GTX 970 for QHD?

Okay, so I'm looking to buy a new 2560 x 1440 monitor after upgrading to my GTX 970. Is is powerful enough to run the latest games at good-quality visual settings? I think I won't have to turn on AA with the extra resolution.

My buddy runs games on high to ultra settings on 2560 x 1440 resolution with a 780 GTX so I think you will be fine since 970 is a better card, however I'm not sure about AA and all that
Edit: I'm not sure what the performance cost for AA is for that resolution but I don't think you will need it
