Nvidia GTX 970 OC MINI-ITX fps problem

Welcome, I've just bought Gigabyte Nvidia GTX 970 OC MINI-ITX to replace my older graphic card (Gainward Nvidia GTX 560ti). The problem is: I've checked my most recently played game (Minecraft - yes, please bear with me 🙁). On my older card I got +100fps and now I'm having 50fps max. My PC is not powerful, but is it normal that new (better) card is working worse, than older?

My PC:
- AMD Phenom II X4 945
- Gigabyte GTX 970 MINI-ITX
- 4gb RAM
- 1tb HDD and 250mb SSD
- Corsair VS450 ATX

Could you post your temperatures of your PC while playing minecraft? It could be thermal throttling. Also make sure you uninstall all of the drivers from the previous 560ti and fresh install all of the drivers for your 970. While in minecraft try limiting it to 2.5-3GB of RAM.

I checked yesterday, while playing Minecraft my gpu wouldn't really go further than 40C until I installed shaders and bunch of other mods. While temp is going up to 65C while messing around like an idiot in-game, the gpu will not even go past 720mhz. It's like it doesn't know that it's a game or sth. I did a clean install of drivers (even used DDU). Don't know if worth mentioning, but I can't choose my preferred graphic card in Nvidia Control Panel. It's like my onboard GPU os hidden or sth.

EDIT: My Minecraft is set to use 2gb RAM. I also have 1360x768 monitor and with older one was using another old one 1024x766 (I need to buy vga-dvi connector for this one to use it). I set Minecraft to run in 720p in launch options - no change.

Hmm, make sure your graphics card is fully snapped in. Also make sure the power connectors are fully pushed in. I would suggest going into your bios and look for an option regrading your graphics card. Try using Driver Booster 3 to install any hidden drivers you may be missing but dont know are missing.
