Nvidia HB SLI Bridge on Maxwell Cards

Hello everyone, I just have one simple question: Has anyone here tried the HB SLI bridges on any Maxwell cards? More specifically the GTX 980s in SLI? If so, could you please tell me if this would benefit the card at all? Or am I just wasting my time wondering about this bridge?

If it makes that little difference with 1080s, it probably won't do anything with 980s but I could be wrong. I'm under the impression that people buy them because they look good. $40 isn't the end of the world though, might be worth it just for the peace of mind.

The HB SLI bridge essentially performs the same as two flex bridges, I wouldn't bother getting a HB SLI bridge for Maxwell cards, a single flex bridge should be enough, but try 2 if you want to see if you can get better performance, although it will be minimal if any.

Other way around, only the 1000 series benefits from the HB bridge, the older cards don't support it. The only problem with the Flex bridges is that they supposedly only support 300mhz where as the HB are 600mhz. Some people have been able to get Flex bridges to operate higher but most just revert to the old settings.

In any case, even at 4k you gain maybe 2fps.
