it is not the defective core they are selling
I guess that they are simply overclocking the 8500GT and renaming it to 9400GT and sell it at a cheaper price.

I purchased this thing for my old gl845 mobo, since it only supports PCI (no vga or pci-e) and was able to play every game that supported P4 2.8 processors (PGA478). They played flawlessly @ higest settings, I wasnt able to check it with multicore processor games (core 2, duo, quad) since my mobo doesn support those. This is possibly the best card for older mobos. But if you have a newer one (PGA775 or newer)that supports pci-e stick with the much better gt9500 or gt9600, still at bargain prices
