Nvidia Optimus

I recently got a laptop with gtx 670m, and Optimus always switches it off when my laptop gets unplugged. Is there any way I can prevent the gtx from switching off?

Check about in Nvidia Control Panel. I know there is an option there to always use the dedicated "High performance"GPU. Could also go into your power settings and make sure that it stays on high performance even when you unplug your laptop.
