Nvidia output not recognized?

So I have a Lenovo g780 laptop with an Intel HD 4000 and a Nvidia gt635M and i regret buying this laptop.. so My problem is i bought a new monitor and my "nvidia control panel and Screen resolution" says that i have a nvidia VGA output but i only have "1 VGA and 1 HDMI" output but when i connect to VGA it uses Intel HD4000 to power the monitor can i get some advice on this please.. thanks and sorry for my horrible Grammer

Having two GPUs on a laptop doesn't give you a different output port for each one, it doesn't work like that.

Your laptop automatically switches between Intel & Nvidia GPU, depending on how much graphics power is required for a particular application or game. You can also configure which applications use which GPU in the Nvidia Control Panel by clicking "Manage 3D settings" in the left panel.

For all normal Windows tasks the default GPU is the Intel one as there's nothing to be gained by using the more powerful Nvidia one. It would just consume more battery power unnecessarily. That's the whole point of having switchable graphics, extending battery life where possible but also giving you extra graphics performance when you need it.
