Nvidia PhysX On AMD GPU?

Hello, I have an AMD R9 280x and also have installed Nvidia Physx from this link : http://www.nvidia.com/object/physx-9.14.0702-driver.html . I was wondering if this even works, so came here to ask as I have not seen an updated thread or video on this topic. My guess is that it doesn't work, but it's always good to reassure. Thanks.

I dont think it works, but some games (weirdly) require you to have physx installed even if you have an amd gpu and it doesn't do anything!

Ok, and thanks for the quick reply. Do you know of any games that require PhysX? I was mainly wondering if it helped with performance at all. I don't really mind if I can't play a few games without it installed, because I can easily install within 5 minutes.

No, PhysX is for GeForce/Nvidia graphics cards, it doesn't work with AMD graphics cards.
If you click on "Supported Products" tab on the page you posted a link to, you'll see only GeForce cards are listed.

I know its probably not your game, but nfs shift 2 unleashed, I just remember it requiring physx for some reason and wouldn't launch until I had it

PhysX outside of Nvidia cards is handled by the CPU alone, Horribly optimized and not worth the hassle.
