nvidia pt 8800 gtx No video input even in bios

I bought Wind Fast nVidia px 8800GTX and my computer can't find it. Monitor says NO VIDEO INPUT, but when I turn my PC on, cooler starts to spin and still says NO VIDEO. For now I'm using other video card (GT9600), but I still keep the 8800gtx installed in my PC, but "Device Manager" finds only 9600GT. Any sugestions how to fix that 8800GTX?

I started out with three in one machine and just sent the last one into EVGA under there life time warranty. They don't fix them they replace them with one that's the same or better. The first one I got a GTS 450, the second one I got a GTX 460, and third one I don't know yet.

If it's an 8800 I'm going to guess that it's used. Did you test it or see it running before you bought it? They burn out quite a bit, so the card could be bad. Assuming again that you checked the power supply and motherboard requirements and plugged in all the power cords. If the power supply is OK to run that card, there is still a small chance the motherboard is not comptatible or needs a BIOS upgrade. If the card itself is good to begin with.

My power supply is I don't know the real name but it's 550W that is enough. Yes it's used video card, seller told me it's fully working, besides it looks brand new. I'll try the card on my friend's pc and see what happens. p.s. Can you give me a full tutorial how to install video card

You need at Least a 750W PSU with that Card.

If you already had an nVidia card, the drivers should have picked up the new one with no issues. If you nave no video, the card is either bad or your motherboard is not compatible with it if you already tried the BIOS upgrade.

If you have a cheap 550 watt power supply, it may not actually be putting out close to that, or it could just have issues even when new. Once you test the card in another system, you will know where to go test things next.

For a 8800, I'm leaning towards a dead card.

Depends on the computer, most of them you can just download a new BIOS update from the support web site and run the update in Windows. Check the support for your PC brand/model, or motherboard if it's a home built system.

Did you try the card in another computer? Make sure the power supply is enough to run the card in that one, should be about a 400watt + for an 8800GTX.
