Nvidia Quadro 6000 shows wrong memory on dxdiag utility

Hello,

My IT guy installed Nvidia Quadro 6000(6 GB) card on Windows 7 64 bit OS for Maya 2012. When i checked with dxdiag utility it shows Approximate Total memory is 1735 MB on the display tab. How come 6 GB can be 1735 MB? Is it showing wrong?

dxdiag is known to do a poor job of reporting accurate video card memory.
