On the explorer text and anywhere else, it looks like it has a shadow and a blur under it, like it was wiped or something.

(the quality isnt actually like that, but if you zoo, it in 1x you'll kinda see what I'm talking about. I recently was using a Nvidia GeForce 6150 LE, and I have a XP Pavillion a1450n, with XP Media Center Edition 2005. Also It was fine before I upgraded, and font smoothing doesn't fix the problem.

Did you uninstall the Geforce drivers and replace them with Quadro FX drivers provided by Nvidia? Also, can you post the rest of your system specs please and include your monitor too.

Monitor is a ViewSonic VX924,
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual core
3.50 Gig ram (I have a lot more I don't know why it still says that)
Physical Address Extension (enabled)
XP Media Center 2005 (XP SP3)

Few things to check,

Did you uninstall/replace the Geforce drivers?

Are you using a DVI cable for the Quadro FX to connect it to the monitor?

As for the ram issue, is your XP 64 bit or 32 bit? It looks as if you're under 32 bit XP which is why you're not able to use the actual amount of ram on board.

And of course, its a driver issue.
Just uninstall the drivers, download the latest nvidia quadro drivers, and install them.
The changing of cable wont help.
If the cable would have been the wrong one, the display wouldn't have shown up.

im using a DVI-VGA adapter.
and also even with the extra ram enabled win xp only supports 4 gb, even with PAE on.
would 50mb+ really make my computer faster at all?
