Hello, i have 2 recover nvidia quadro k4200, and im trying from a couple days to sli them, they both works stand alone, i tried both them before even trying to get into this run.
The bios is pretty identic, same version, same everything, opened it with kepler bios tweaker to check if the settings were the same in all and they were. Clocks are also pretty much the same then, cards have same model, same everything, they are identic.
My configuration is: i5 4670k 3.4 haswell, z87-g45 msi motherboard, kingston 4gb x2 dual ram, i have a vultech 750 W supply power , so i guess it isn't also a power related problem, im using the SLI bridge got with the motherboard, when i assembled the computer 1 year ago (2014) , the msi sli bridge.
Since before i searched over the web.... i think my motherboard does supply SLI. Nvidia quadro k4200 support sli, my processor support sli.
I am bored , i really cant get why i really never see one of the 2 gpu going over 14% tdp usage, power save core/mem clock settings, the cards are both detected, every program read them, even afterburner gpuz windows device manager.
For some reason i don't know, one of the gpu is not read, no matter the order they are linked on the motherboard(i have 3 pci 16x express slot, i use to sli the 2 ones close to the cpu, not the one on the bottom because i can't use it and , even if i try to use it i see them going to 4x instead of 8x like i link them in the other placement) just, she does stand by not working at all or so, also in gpuz i see sli disabled, i don't see sli option into nvidia surround physix sli panel, i just see the physix option. The drivers im using? i downloaded most or about all drivers i could have download for the cards, i tried in different my pc configurations to download automatically drivers from nvidia.com. i tried also the hypersli thing, but it also seem not working and the problems are the same. Im actually lost, ill continue searching, i hope that somebody in the while can give me some tips about how could i improve or change the work im doing to making this work. Peace
