China does not have to meet the per capita rates of wealth generation of the more liberal Asian nations for the CCP elites to live extremely well or for China to dominate the region. It could be very stable as a Nationalist/Socialist/Conformist middle-income nation.
That will only get you so far.
China has expressed and invested in global domination. They fueled their population towards invading Taiwan which means being stronger than the U.S.+Taiwan + Somehow pulling such a massive amphibious invasion off.

Growth is the only language the CCP can sell and if they stagnate around "stable and steady" then it won't be enough to fight against the West & fullfill local desires.
The U.S. is certainly going to love that outlook.

Look at how they handle Covid, people are going crazy.

Without the U.S. navy, China would've invaded every nation around the South Asia sea that doesn't recognise it as 100% part of China incl it's resources.

I thought Jensen Huang was from Taiwan? Anything for a buck, I guess.
It's astonishing how short your memories are. When our stock market was doing great Trump decided to start a trade war with China which plunged our whole economy into a recession. For every month that went on we saw new record trade deficits accelerating as our companies rushed to buy everything from China before the deadline. If not for China our country would've collapsed a long time ago. People here are so devoid of intelligence that we may see Trump back in office in 2024.

What a bunch of hypocrites lol, nvidia selling gpus to china is not a matter of national security , just like crippling huawei (for now) was not a matter of national security, thats just the Us scared senseless over the shift of power of technology and trying to hold onto the top spot, all this does is accelerate it. NO corporation is concerned with anything other than a dollar , AMD demonstrated that with their pricing the moment they had a slight edge with zen 3 until alderlake forced their prices down and to release lower end stuff. Get off the high horse will you people ? Or are forum conspiracies all there is to your lives? Pathetic .
The only thing we crippled was Huawei's smart phone sales. They brought in record profits due to their 5G networks. It was an embarrassing failure on our part because despite all of our lies and propaganda we still couldn't force all of the five eyes to ban Huawei's 5G network installation. In fact even the countries who did ban Huawei from installing we still pay royalties for their technology. Without that we'd still be stuck with 4G. Imagine a 'superpower' still using technology about decade old.
