nVidia has just announced the 620-D and 615-D chipsets, upgraded from previous versions, to support PC2700 but is the news clouded.
AcesHardware claims, "Of course, while the faster DDR SDRAM memory interface can improve the performance of the integrated graphics core, the CPU itself remains bottlenecked by its 2.1 GB/s FSB."
If true, I think all that the update will accomplish is to speed up onboard video speed (620-D, only) all the way up to perhaps MX-400 speed. Oooh, big deal! Not!
