Question Nvidia RTX 4060 specs

Hey there,

Well, it does say this right at the top of the article:

'This product is not released yet.
Data on this page may change in the future.

It would seem according to the article there's a substantial decrease in mem bandwidth. But without knowing the 'exact' specs, it's hard to work out what the actual bandwidth will be, and how much the increase in mem clockspeed, will offset the change in bus width.

With that said dropping from what has essential been the standard for mid-range cards (
192bit bus)is really annoying if it's true.

Not necessarily, you can't judge GPU performance entirely by its bus width. For all we know, it could be using a 128-bit bus, but with lightning fast 21-24Gbps GDDR6X. A theoretical configuration like this should comletely make up the bus width difference, since the current 3060 uses 15Gbps.

Yeah.
The memory speed could make up for the bus width difference, but it still wouldn't be an upgrade!
