Rumors of a RTX 4070 10GB were apparently true. New evidence reveals that Nvidia created at least one RTX 4070 prototype sporting an unusual 10GB VRAM capacity paired to a 160-bit wide bus, which would have hurt performance not to mention reducing overall VRAM capacity.

I 100% believe this 10GB 4070 would have been released had Nvidia’s dishonest4080 16GB model naming scheme not been universally lambasted.
Nvidia, now being the most valuable company in the world, needs to inject good faith back in to the enthusiast space by giving real value graphics cards with healthy amounts of memory. I think the best things for consumers would be for Nvidia to pre-empt the mounting anti-trust pressure and roll off gaming graphics into an independent company.
