Hi,
I am running a GeForce RTX™ 4090 Phantom on Windows 11 with a Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 Gaming Monitor 49” (connected via DP) with the latest driver and software / os update.

I face the following issues:
  • When starting Windows, the resolution is wrong (too less) and it takes 1-3 minutes until it is correctly recognized
  • Waking up from sleep sometimes fails, the screen is not turned back on
  • Switching to an application windows of Zotero (right now only with this application on no other) the screens turns black (for very short up to 2 seconds), audio stops and when the screen is back, the monitor shows me the input (as if its newly connected).
Any idea how to debug this? Any idea what could cause the issue?

I did already a clean install of graphic card driver (via DDU), without any effect.

Thanks and regards

Update 1:
See video of the issue below:

Update 2:
Then G-Sync is disabled, the issue 3 seems gone.

Did all (except reinstall windows) but without any luck.
The screen flickering is gone when disabling G-Sync in Window mode.

Only thing I would like to fix is, that the Driver is not loaded (?) until a few minutes.

Hi guys.

My black screen flashing was on the start of PUBG on the plaine ride.
Could happen several times on the plane and while I was in the air . So F___ annoying.
I also disabled the G-Sync and then the black screen flashing is gone for me.

MY system is :

Intel Core i9-13900K CPU
MSI GeForce RTX 4090 SUPRIM X
ASUS ROG STRIX Z790-F GAMING WIFI Hovedkort
Kingston FURY Beast RGB DDR5 6000MHz 64GB
Kingston KC3000 M.2 2280 NVMe SSD 2TB
Corsair RM1000x 1000W PSU
Samsung Odyssey G7 (LS28AG700NUXEN) running 4k - 3840x2160 at 144hz
Windows 11 fully updated.
Latest nvidia drivers.

And with this cable from the PSU to the GPU.
Corsair Premium 600W PCIe 5.0 / Gen 5 Kabel

So now it's finally gone !!!!

ASUS RoG 4090 + Samsung G9 OLED and I'm getting the same flicker. It's only on the left side of the screen. Displayport cables are seated right (I upgraded to higher bandwidth ones) - happens in game, happens for benchmark (3D mark), or booting.

General windows stuff isn't an issue, but the whole thing is weird - coming from an RTX 3090.

Resolved on my end:
Had to fully uninstall display driver. Downloaded a tool (link below), and it also deleted GeForce experience. Ran it to uninstall the driver. After, downloaded/installed GeForce Experience, and downloaded the driver.

So far, a couple hours in, no more flickering. Hope this helps someone.
