Nvidia shield portable 5ghz wifi

Ok so my shield isn't seeing any 5ghz wifi signals. i just bought it and i couldn't see my 5ghz wifi or even any of my neighbors 5ghz wifi. So i also restored it and tried again but it still didn't work. i can connect to the 2.4ghz easily just like any other device. i have an apple airport extreme the current gen. i have it creating two different networks one for the 2.4ghz and one for the 5ghz all the other devices in my house can see and connect to the 5ghz but my shield cant seem to see it. any help would be very appreciated.

Ok so i finally figured it out. the channel i was using for the 5ghz wasn't showing up i was using channel 132 i changed it to be 153 and it finally showed up on my shield and is now working perfectly
