Nvidia surround on one 980

Hey I was wondering if anyone games on 3 monitors with one 980. All I can find are benchmarks on ultra but I don't plan on playing everything on ultra. I really don't want to sli 970s..Does anyone have any info on gaming on a single 980 with 3 monitors? With all the vram issues with the 970 and the hassle with sli I feel the 980 is the best choice now and I can always add another one down the road.
