NVIDIA takes more CPU than AMD

I've benchmarked asus rx 480 8gb vs msi gtx 1060 6gb on i5-3340 machine and the gtx take about 10%-15% more cpu than rx 480 in fortnite (DX11) and rocket league (DX9). So is it true that nvidia loads more on cpu than amd?

I don't think so, if you look at the framerates they are the same. And it's not an rx 470, it's an rx 480.
I think the difference in cpu load is due to driver kernels wich on nvidia apperently loads more tasks on cpu instead of gpu

That's correct and also very weird because at 4k the higher CPU usage does correlate with higher FPS,fortnite ~25% more cpu = ~25% more FPS and in rocket it's ~10%

So maybe there is some setting in maximum that causes something else to be bottlenecked causing the same FPS although the CPU could do more.

Basically Nvidia driver uses more CPU due to software task scheduling rather than using AMD method of hardware scheduling... https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/9agxq3/nvidia_takes_more_cpu_than_amd/
