[SOLVED] Nvidia USB-C driver

I have a Lenovo Laptop y540-15IRH with a Gtx 1660ti
It has an USB-C port and I have some questions.
I use it only to transfer files from my phone.

Do I really need the Nvidia USB-C driver for it ?
Can I connect a monitor through it ?

According to this, the max resolution is
3840x2160@60Hz (HDMI);
7680x4320@60Hz (MiniDP 1.4);
3840x2160@60Hz (USB Type-C).

So, yes you can run a monitor trough that USB-C, but you will need the Nvidia USB-C drivers to do that.
