ArchitSahu :
Both. The GTX 2000 is set to release this year and will have the Volta architecture.
Usually, that is what happens.
Major_Trouble :
First the gpu prices will go up.....

My friends, I present you the
Ampere aka GTX 2000 Series;
Volta is for AI only and research dear enthusiast's and prices will not go up since it is not GDDR5 and Samsung has been seen bulking that we just have no more info about that, price should be the same initial MSRP, but yeah we have the miners problem they are a plague, and I hope we get some ASIC's or something like that around to kill it.
The GTX 2000 on this case 2070 will have the 12nm and :
- Model :GA 104
- Memory Clock :1750 MHz
- Effective M.C. : 14000Mbps
- Memory size : 8Gb (same for the 2080
for now)
- Memory type : GDDR6 (Samsung is building a lot of those cute usefull babys)
- Memory Bus Width : 256-Bit
- Memory Bandwidth : 448GB / s
The GTX 2070 will be a
one 8 pin powered, and a interface
PCI-Express 3.0 x16.
About the same API Support :
-
Vulkan 1.0
-
DirectX 12.0
-
OpenGL 4.5
-OpenCL 2.1
-Shader Model 4.0
I have no info or no leaks about neither Base Clock nor Boost Clock also I got no backup on if it is SLI capable or not, but probably they are.
The GTX 2000 Series will be talked about in
Q2 2018, I will be able to drop more things after that, untill that I can not say anything more, changes may be done later if this gets any attention.
