Hi

Does anyone here have actual experience running a 30 series card like a 3080 over HDMI to a Freesync Premium Pro display, please?

I'm looking at a Samsung QN90B 43" 144Hz screen and it is only certified for Freesync Premium Pro, and it only has HDMI ports.

For my new pc that I'm planning to build, I'm probably going to get a 3080 12GB over a 6900XT (they are roughly the same price right now in my country) or similar performance class GPU once the new ones launch because its main purpose will be to run RDR2.

On suggesting a different screen:
I'm 99% buying the screen for work purposes, so unless there's another good 43" - 48" 4K screen usable for both work and play that you could suggest, this is the best available in South Africa at the moment.

Thank you
Andrew

Solution
Hi Andrew, usually there are no problems these days with such TV models to enable sync features with RTX nvidia cards.

Could only find the predecessor of the QN90B, the QN90A over the net and there it actually works well.
