The 4060 Ti is not a "mid-range" card. Just because it is priced like a mid-range card doesn't make it anything but an upper-entry level model, barely matching last generation's mid-range card, the 3070. There's also no RTX 4050, so the 4060 and 4060Ti are, by definition, the entry level RTX 4000 series models.

The 4060 Ti 16gb is actually slightly slower than my 3070, in raw rendering, but I would still consider it as an upgrade option to my 3070 because of double the VRAM, and DLSS 3. Ideally, I would want to get a 4070, but I would settle for a 4060 Ti 16gb, if I had to, and the price was good enough.

Most people would buy these cards for 2k gaming, not 1080p. There will be plenty who try to 2k UW, and 4k as well. When you compare those numbers the 4060ti and 4070 look even worse. In G-d I trust.

Disagree. The 4060Ti cannot do 2560x1440 60fps without overclocking (and even then barely), and cannot do 90fps at 1920x1080 without cutting details, as befits entry level cards, so most people would buy these for 1920x1080 gaming, or for 2560x1440 lower demand games (such as MMOs)

The rx 7700xt it's a overpriced piece of junk. The 7800xt is danger close tho the price of a 7700xt
Why get that if you really can buy a better overall card.
7700xt need to be lowered to 300 330 us to be good

The 5700XT was $400 at launch
7700XT 5 1/2 years later at $400 isn't that bad....
They are the same tier card.

But the 5700XT was smidge faster than a 1080.
The 7700XT barely catches a 4070 and is awful at RT

I can still run 2k (1440p) 90 fps on starfield with up sampling on my 5700XT and medium settings. It's a little blurry but good enough.

And we are 7 months out till RDNA4 8000 series and that will decimate the current price to performance.
