Nvidia's DSR feature won't work in Borderless-Windowed Mode.
For me, it only works in Fullscreen Mode and Windowed Mode, but not Borderless-WIndowed Mode, for 3D Applications.

Is there a reason for this?

Thank you for your time in advance.

Solution
The reason I believe it is applied to everything is because it is a global 3d setting.
When I turned it on my monitor went black for a few seconds, then came back on.

There are some posts about borderless window issues with World of Warcraft.

Some other users posted about it applying to the entire desktop- I am not an authority on DSR, so don't hold me to that.
As far as I know DSR is applied to everything (global settings).

This includes your desktop as well.

When I set it up on my system it is a global setting. I haven't updated my drivers though... so maybe it's changed to a game specific profile?

DSR isn't applied to everything and isn't applied to the desktop, just the application.

Global 3D setting does not mean applies to everything. Global 3D setting means it'll be the default, or user-set default, for each and every application. Also, it seems like the users who had reported it affecting their entire screen is experiencing either a bug, or they had Alt-Tabed out of the application, which presents the whole desktop being affected, even though it should not be.

Anyway, I had come to the conclusion that some games just aren't optimized for certain resolutions, thus not being able to conform to both DSR and borderless-windowed mode.
