Having trouble with windows and its getting to the point when I'm at my wits end. Let me try to reconstruct the events which led to this :
Everything was working fine till..
1.)I opened/played a song by mistake while still downloading, which caused the pc to hang/crash, then did a manual reboot
2.)Next thing, windows starts spewing errors related to the network card (i.e. network always stays limited, stuck at identifying in the network panel
3.)Then had no choice but to refresh, but being the idiot that I was, did not fully understood that refresh = wiping all previously installed programs
4.)Then proceeded to try to play around with the ntuser, user profile (copying the user profiles/ntuser.dat file from the windows.old folder to the new one) to restore the previously installed programs, what happened next was a disaster on a catastrophic level.
5.)The copying of the profiles did nothing but corrupt one of my storage hard disks by displaying incorrect space left, reformatted the disk and all was fine, temporarily at least.
6.)Then, the errors started to show up like nobody's business, i start having warnings/errors in the event log that the "registry was unable to flush the hive", "user profile handles still open whilst shutting down" etc.
7.)To top it off, i soon started having connectivity issues, can't remember the exact errors but what i did was to disable the ipv6 and it worked for awhile, until recently, where all the other computers in the home was able to connect to the internet except mine (eventviewer would show failed to resolve dns of a certain webpage)
8.)And to add to the nightmare, a few days back, i updated my gpu drivers and started having nvlddmkm errors show up in the eventviewer, whilst playing games or watching movies/streaming, the error would start to appear after a random amount of time (Gpu load was 30+% and temps were around 50 degrees), also noticed that my speakers started to have static during playback + the secondary speaker which was utilized by my player did not show any activity in the playback devices menu in the taskbar
9.)The nvlddmkm error would show up as the kernel driver has crashed and has recovered or something along the lines of that. The crashes can be described as a screen freeze/black screen in games with sound still playing fine. Intermittent pauses/freezes after the crash has recovered, where it freezes up for 5-7 seconds and my cursor is able to move again, this lasts as long until restart
Steps taken to try to resolve issues
-Disabled IPv6 connectivity in the network card
-Rolled back to the previous gpu driver before the crashes
-Tried sfc scannow but it only triggered the nvlddmkm error when it completed at 100%
-Tried expanding the nvlddmkm file located in nvidia folder to replace the one in the system32/drivers folder, but failed at the expanding step
-Ran avast antivirus and malwarebytes to check for viruses and malware - none found
-Haven't got the time to do memtest yet, but i don't think it's the ram that's causing the problems
-Tried using registry cleaner or some program to the same effect( can't remember, this was done at least a few months back in 6.))
-Set the power option to maximum performance from adaptive for the gpu in nvidia control panel
-Also changed the registry owner controls for one program called runtime broker in regedit as it was showing up as an error in eventviewer (can't remember the event id or event name)
Please help, at my wits end. Eventviewer log to follow, when i'm home.
