Hi, guys

Need your guys expertise on this one.

I recently switched out my ATI 5750 graphics card, and put in my Evga Geforce 9800 gt. So I could get more performance in my computer. I installed the latest drivers version 314.07 newest ones, but now when i play certain games for example such as Day Z fav one. I get the Blue screen of death. I have a mini dump of the BSOD.

Hey,
I'm new to this forum and am by no means an expert with regards to your problem, but what I can tell you is that I have a similar problem.
{nvlddmkm.sys} I have windows 7 pro. I've gone to device manager and uninstalled my Nvidia display adapter and drivers. And restarted my computer, which allowed a reload of drivers.
upon restarting after updating to a newer set of drivers; my OS freezes and never makes it to desktop. I have to then restart again and press f-8 to load last known good settings, which reverts back to the former drivers.
One time {nvlddmkm.sys} I got a message that windows could not authenticate. So I went to the Nvidia folder and deleted{nvlddmkm.sys}, and it worked.
Also windows update for Nvidia freezes my computer.
So I stay with the old driver and the card works great. No problems. I just thought newer meant better.

im confused why you went from a 5750 to a 9800gt? the 5750 would be as fast, if not faster in many games, and also has dx11.
Did you uninstall all AMD/ati drivers before you installed the new card? use driversweeper to get rid of them properly. Use CCleaner to clean up your registry.

iam2thecrowe,

I'm sorry,

I meant and ATI 5450 512mb, I find with the Geforce 9800 GT I get way more fps. I did uninstall all the ATi drivers, even updated the bios. I'll attempt using ccleaner.

its a nvidia driver error, although it could be bad memory, i would try going to an older driver.
