I have a Lenovo Ideapad 530S-15IKB laptop which contains a Western Digital PC SN520 SDAPMUW-256G NVME drive. This drive has the following specs:
256GB M.2 2242 S3-B-M
Interface PCIe Gen3 x2 NVMe v1.3
I would like to replace my NVME with a 480GB to 512GB drive. I have my eye on an open box Sabrent Rocket Nano SB-1342-512 512GB NVME drive but I'm not sure if it's compatible. The Sabrent drive has the following specs:512GB M.2 2242 PCIe 3.1 Compliant / NVMe 1.3 Compliant
Interface PCIe PCIe Gen3 x 4
Will the Sabrent NVME fit into the M.2 slot in my Ideapad? I don't know enough about this stuff but I think a PCIe Gen3 x 4 card won't go into a PCIe Gen3 x 2 slot. TIA to all who reply.
