Hello I currently have a https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/B450-Gaming-X-rev-1x#kf and wanted to buy some good, decent SSD drive. For safety reasons I thought I'd list what I have on the board too: MSI GTX 1070 Gaming X, one SSD and 3 HDDs. I'm also running a Ryzen 5 2600 if that matters.

And wanted to check if the following one is compatible https://www.newegg.com/global/ar-en/samsung-970-evo-plus-1tb/p/N82E16820147743 with that motherboard. I already had issues with the whole PCIe and SATA NVMe (especially since the page displays something different on the pictures) and I didn't want to make the same mistake again considering this is a purchase overseas and the price.

The manual inside the motherboard box also states: 1xM.2 connector (Socket 3, M key, type 2242/2260/2280/22110 PCIe 3.0 x4/x2 SSD support) it also states the revision is 1.0 on the motherboard itself, so I assume that's the page.

Thanks for the help.

Solution
That drive will work, and yes, the ASATA 0 and 1 are disabled.
Just don't use those 2 ports, and all is good.

SATA 0, 1, 2, 3 are just fine and will operate exactly as they do today.
Yes it is compatible.
But...
"Refer to "1-7 Internal Connectors," for the installation notices for the M.2 and SATA connectors. "

One or more of the SATA ports on the motherboard may be disabled. The user manual has a cross reference for this.

I see. It is kinda confusing because the manual mentions support M.2 SATA SSDs or M.2 PCIe SSDs (the note states later that "The connector supports only PCIe SSDs." which is probably what led to my issue before.) From what it seems the ASATA3_0 and ASATA3_1 will be disabled. So my confusion comes from this page of the manual which might've why I ran into that issue before by buying a different type.

I'll attach a picture of what the manual says just to fully confirm this one will work without issues.
