[SOLVED] NVMe drive not showing up

Adata XPG Gammix S5 1tb won’t show up in bios or windows. done literally everything online to try me get it to, but it still gets hot, so i’m just assuming it’s dead on arrival or something at this point. let me know if there’s anything i can try that might fix it.

1. Have connected it properly according to motherboard manual in proper slot, please read manual.
2. Try To locate it in Windows Disk Management , as it is new then should be seen as Unallocated Space.
3. if Windows is also not able to detect , Use AOMEI Partition Manager it can detect all kinds of drives including poorly formatted, if it shows you your drive then format it to NTFS, if not then it might dead.
4. Try it on other PC if that BIOS is able to detect.

If it gets detected , you are able to use then try few other steps like check it's speed are proper, it's usable.
Else just get Replacement.

Your motherboard has two M.2 slots but only one of them is compatible with an NVMe SSD (the other M.2 slot is for M.2 SATA only).

M2_1 --- NVME only

M2_2 --- SATA only
