[SOLVED] NVME m.2 pcie adapter x16 or x4?

Will I get the same hard drive speed running on a x16 pcie card adapter than a regular x4 pcie card adapter? Or is the x16 only for running multiple hard drives?

It's not worth it on that FX setup and it won't be bootable and will operate at reduced speeds.

You will only get x4 lanes per SSD. The larger card can hold up to 4 m.2 SSD, therefore it can use up to 16 lanes. But if you only put 1 SSD in the large adapter, it will only use 4 lanes.
