Hello I've installed that NVMe PCIe M.2 2280 1TB SSD that i bought recently on my Predator Helios 300 (PH-315-52), but it doesn't seem to be detected, nor in the BIOS menu nor in the file explorer section, have I done something wrong while installing it? Or did i missed something? I also want it to be my main SSD, as the actual one I have is only 256gb. I don't know anything about PC tech so please explain me the way a 5 years old would understand..

PC's aren't just pick and throw together... you do need to make sure that parts you buy will work with each other. I don't know your full specs or anything yet but it may just not be something that works with that board.

Have you checked to see if the nvme port is the right one from what I understand there maybe be two nvme slots one won't activate till the other is in use. Aswell as you may need to turn on the nvme slot in bios so it provides power to the port.
I have two nvme ports in which one is actually in use (it's the main ssd of the pc when i bought it new), I tried to look on the bios but most of the settings are grayed out so I can't turn them on/off, I'll provide screenshots asap

Actually, it is showing in your BIOS as "HDD0" so that's very encouraging.

In Windows open the Disk Management console (by typing diskmgmt.msc into the Windows Run box). Does your new drive show there, and if so, does it have a status of "Unallocated" in the bottom pane? If it does then right-click on the area that says Unallocated, choose "New simple volume" then follow the wizard instructions to complete the setup. By the way, when it asks you to specify a volume size, you can leave the numbers as they are.

It does show up but I can't click on new simple volume as it is grayed out

Thanks for the screenshot.

Your new disk is showing as not initialised so right-click on where it says "Disque 0" in the bottom pane, choose "Initialize Disk", then OK to initialise it as a GPT disk.

You should then be able to run the "New simple volume" wizard that I mentioned earlier.

I did work great! https://prnt.sc/1kp2qfn
How do I set it as my main SSD though? and do I need to? because I've just enough space on my 256gb main, what would be the difference?

You should be able to "clone" your 256GB SSD onto your new one to transfer everything across using specialist software . Your 1TB drive would then become the "main SSD" (Acer C). You should start a new thread for that if you need specific advice.

If most of the space on your old drive is personal data then another option would be to move your user folders (Documents, Downloads, Pictures etc) to your new drive. Here's a step-by-step guide although you'll find plenty of others. That could free up loads of space on the old drive leaving you room to install more programs.

Thanks for the private message but I can't help you with Discord.

Thank you, it helped me a lot, I'll create a new thread as the matter changed.
