Question NVME SLOW DOWNLOAD SPEED

I just bought a WD black SN850x 1tb and just installed it in my Tuf Gaming x470-plus and my download speeds are far worse than my HDD i was getting 40 to 60 mbps now on my NVME im capped at a consistent 11.6 mbps

What processor are you working with? BIOS version for your motherboard? What sot are you populating on the motherboard?

I have a ryzen 5 3600 and im using the m2_1 slot

That looks good, nothing wrong with it or interface so must be something about your Windows, probably AV/ anti malware.
Also what are you "downloading" to it from ? If from internet, that's different thing, if from HDD than it can' t write faster than HDD's read speed minus loss from AV or other causes.

Im downloading from steam i already did all the steam stuff and my connection is wired so im lost

Are you monitoring internet download speed too ? Even fastest internet connection still depends on how fast data is sent from a server. Can't receive data that wasn't sent yet.
