Hay Guys!
Please Get me solution for this wired issue

Recently
Got HP ELITEDESK G4 TOWER
I5 3.0Ghz
16Gb Ram
Windows 10 Running at SAMSUNG SATA SSD

Drive 2! 1Tb WD 7200 RPM

Gpu 8Gb Amd 580

So currently
I Got one 512 GB NVME M2 TOSHIBA SSD
Drive is healthy
Checked on DELL PRECISION T1700
Hence HP PC DO NOT HAVE M2 SLOT FOR NVME NEITHER MY DELL SYSTEM

Thats why
I am using
Pcie NVME ADAPTER
In Dell PC
Both Bios and Windows detecting 512 gb nvme . Working wel there
But
In
HP System
When i plugged in
It showed me in BIOS
System component testing NVME STATUS PASSED

But its not in showing in SYSTEM VIA CMD, CONTROL PANEL, STORAGE MANAGMENT.
I have tried every troubleshoot step
Deleted ide/ata driver restarted
Taken off all disks
Tried to boot fresh windows setup but also failed to find target disk

Any idea how to get rid of this issue

Solution
Cool. Mark this thread as solved.

These office computer user manuals often does not have proper information about their internals. Because they are for "users". But we know that there always are service manuals somewhere.

  1. Need specific make/model of all components
  2. The Dell, lacking a M.2 port, is highly unlikely to be able to boot from this NVMe drive. Even in a PCIe slot.
Exactly right
i was able to use nvme as stoarge drive
But it was nt giving me option to boot it from Bios

Hp Elite Desk G4 Tower
Intel core i5 3.00 ghz
Samsung Ram 8+8 Gb 2666
Amd Radeon 580 8Gb
Updated bios Version
Chipset Q370

If i boot windows

And there is no ATA TO ACHI SETTINGS IN HP SYSTEM IN BIOS .

One thing i just noticed

When i went in f9 uefi boot options

1 windows boot ( samsung sata ssd) uefi
  1. DVD
  2. BOOT FROM USB
  3. BOOT FROM HARD DRIVE UEFI
  4. NETWORKING
  5. Hard drive ( Thats NVME )

Do i need to turn it in uefi format???

You need to disconnect ALL drives except this NVMe drive.
See if you can install Windows on it, and then see if it will actually boot.

Physical disconnection of all other drives.

I appreciated your fast turnover in answering.
But unfortunately its not working either
I tried that one earlier.
Disconnected sata cables from mobo
Nvme was installed in pcie slot
Boot from external dvd started
And stucked at start process

I agree
But Dell Precision t1700 is 75 Months old

Hp elitedesk G4 Tower is 35 Months old

May be i am missing driver
As i have seen
hp pc device manager did not showing me STANDARD NVME CONTROLLER DRIVER IN LIST. Which should be there as showing in DELL SYSTEM

Just for seconds it was detected in WINDOWS 10 PRO WHEN i first time plugged in nvme in HP SYSTEM

On that time i was not fitted it as it have to be. May b it disconnected by pcie channel
Then
No appearence

Try after try
After removing adapter bracket
i plugged it
And then again it was detected
Asking me to partition unallocated disk of 472 GB.

When i tried
Disk inaccessible

After that day
I never able to find that in OS

Which HP EliteDesk G4 Tower PC you have? From HP EliteDesk 800 G4 Tower service manual look like motherboard indeed does support M.2 NVMe an SATA drives. Seems SFF version of this machine does support these drives as well. If you see drive at M.2 slot in BIOS then it must be possible to install OS here and boot from it too.
Thumbs up for u
Often i was also readed manual and was surprise that there was written m2 slot. But it was my mistake i was not able to find slot. Now i got it. Attached nvme. Wraping up things. Will update soon
