I just installed a Samsung 970 EVO, and when I looked in file manger I didn't notice it there I look and in disk manger and found it in there Unallocated but with only 465.76. Where did the other space go or is that just how it is out of box?

This is a "500GB" drive?

If so, that is normal and expected.

It is simply a difference in reporting units.
Base 2 vs Base 10
Human vs computer.

No space is lost, nothing is wrong.

500'000'000'000 bytes = 500'000'000'000/1024/1024/1024 = 456.66 GB

Read the small print in product description
1GB=1 Billionbyte by IDEMA. Actual usable capacity may be less (due to formatting, partitioning, operating system, applications or otherwise).
