I recently built a computer and have gotten most of everything working. The only issue is that when I tried to download windows 10 from my USB drive, my SSD didn’t show up. It didn’t show up in BIOS either.

This is my build:
Ryzen 7 3700X
Gigabyte X470 Auros Ultra Gaming
RTX 2070
16 GB Trident G.Skill
EVGA SuperNOVA 600W G3
WD Blue 3D NAND SATA SSD M.2 2280

This is already my second ssd. The first one had the same problem and I thought it was not supported by my Motherboard. (The first one was a Samsung Evo 860)

Thanks in advance for your help!

Which M.2 slot are you using? Only one of them can use a SATA m.2 drive, like the 860 EVO or WD Blue. The M2A socket.

  • 1 x M.2 connector (Socket 3, M key, type 2242/2260/2280/22110 SATA and PCIe 3.0 x4/x2* SSD support) (M2A_SOCKET)
    * Actual bandwidth may vary by CPU.
  • 1 x M.2 connector (Socket 3, M key, type 2242/2260/2280 PCIe 2.0 x4/x2 SSD support) (M2B_SOCKET)

I triple checked that I am using the M2A Socket. It still does not work.
