I was thinking of buying the Sabrent Rocket (512GB model). But I saw that it has cloning issue: It doesn't have 512 bytes sectors so you can't clone an HDD to it. However, Sabrent released a tool that will convert the drive to 512 bytes sectors. But doesn't it mean that you're changing the entire drive to 512 bytes sectors and leaving it that way?
I don't have knowledge in all the tech behind storage devices, but if most SSDs use 4K bytes sectors, and even this drive was designed to originally use 4K bytes sectors - doesn't it mean that it comes at expense of something else? Maybe lifespan, speed, stability?
