Might be hashing around something I am missing but on a Z170 based motherboard and using two Intel 750 Series HHHL (CEM2.0) 400GB PCIe NVMe 3.0 x4 MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) SSDPEDMW400G4R5 in the x4 and x8 slots say on a Gigabyte GA-170X-Gaming 7 motherboard can you raid these via the intel chipset/software? Yes, I know my video card at that point will drop to x8 but that is just fine in my book.

Regards,
Tom

Not entirely sure as i have not personally messed with a PCIe NVMe SSD yet, but from looking it up it seems as if right now on desktop boards it ins't possible (at leas ton Z97 and X99 boards) cant find anything on Z170 boards though. It seems almost as if you have to crossfire/sli them almost? That is just want the Intel page is read said (or something about that).

If you have a Pro version of windows you can do a Software RAID 0 but it sounds like it won't be bootable then.
