How did you connect this drive?
In an M.2 port?
Did you verify the motherboard has an M.2 port compatible with an NVMe drive?
What specific drive?

will my A8 computer support nvme using a pcxi adapter?

first of all mainboard doesnt need to support nvme, u just wont be able to boot with that drive, thats all, u can still use it as data drive (for games, music, etc)
nvme also need supported operating system (drivers)
which is windows 8.1 or never, windows 7 or older doesnt support nvme

can u show us which adapter ure using?
