Would it be alright to use nzxt braided cables with a cooler master v850 power supply

Yes - they are all made to a standard. The only difference might be on modular psu connectors. You have to check

If you are thinking of a braided 'extension' the yes, you can use those all day long as they fit the same connectors male/female. If you are thinking 'modular' cables, then probably not as even differing series use differing psu-side connectors
