Solution

If all you have is the case, go with the new 4690k instead of the 4670k. Same price, +.1GHZ stock. no reason not to.

Great Build However I don't Recommend Asus GPU or the 550w also in a 900$ Build there has to be room for an SSD

Why not asus and why does he have to have an SSD?

A 900$ Build is a good budget and SSD will benefit him hugely secondly a lot of Asus GPUs have reported to have failed , also Sapphire or XFX are more reliable when it comes to GPUs

Estimated Wattage is 450W so a 550W should be enough however its sometimes a risk under full load also I recommend having an SSD its so beneficial in gaming and booting

It would go over his budget + it'd need a different PSU because of the power gain .

I think 20$ Above the budget isn't that big of a deal also there's an XFX PSU 650W for 49.99$

SSD's are personal preference. I would rather have an extra 80 bucks to spend on a more efficient PSU rather than faster boot and load times.

You could totally end up with something along these lines too, if you're not interested in overclocking.
