Hey everyone, I was wondering something. I bought the NZXT H440 case and built my first pc in it. Upon turning it on it was reletively quiet, but I could still hear it a little. I had it so the fan hub's cable goes from a molex to 6 pin and then into my PSU. I don't know about you but I just wanted to know if there was a way of setting up the fan headers so I can control all the fans from the hub and if not then what slot would I plug them into my motherboard so I could control them. Pretty sure they're all 3 pin cables, not sure if that makes a difference. Thanks for helping out and I'm sorry if I got a bit of the terminology wrong. I'm still a rookie. 😀

Thanks again!

Yep! Any of the system fan ports would be perfect... You should have six chassis / case fan connections available in the Mark 2 motherboard. They will be a mix of 4-pin and 3-pin.
On that type of case considering that there are no 5.25" drive bays, you won't be able to use an external fan controller. The case does not have one built in other than the fan hub that's centered on the tray underneath the back panel. You access that by opening the back of the case.

You will need to unplug the fans from the stock controller, and plug then into your motherboard. The stock controller simply provides power. Not sure which board you have, but 3-pin fan splitters are common and can bridge you if your motherboard has limited fan connections. You can plug in the 3-pin fans (or splitters) in either the 3-pin or 4-pin spots..

Ok thanks, can it be any 3 pin slot as long as it's nothing too obnoxious? Would sys_fan work? I have the asus sabertooth z97 mark 2 by the way. :)

Yeah most Z97 motherboards have at least 3 - 4 sys_fan ports.
